2018 - The Dog is taking a rest...
The Dead Dog Cycling Classic Race turned into the Dad Dog Ride and is now taking a rest.
If you are interested in "adopting" this dog please contact Laramie BikeNet at: laramiebikenet@gmail.com FREE to Laramie BikeNet Members & their friends! In the tradition of the Dead Dog Classic, BikeNet will be hosting the Dad Dog RIDE over Father’s Day weekend. This is a low-key, local event for road riders of all ages and abilities. The Ride: The full course is a ~50 mile out and back with a number of great turn-around options, starting at Kiwanis Park, heading out to Hwy 130, then north on Herrick Lane to the end of the pavement. Riders then turn around to ride back to the park, making the total route ~50 miles. Rides that are building up to the 50-mile challenge can turn around at Alsop Lake (~20 miles) or the fire station (~30 miles) The course is 100% paved roads and the terrain is rolling. There will be no sag vehicle or aid stations, so bring your own food, water, and stuff to fix a flat. Roads will be open to traffic. RIDE Starts at 9 am. BBQ Starts at Noon. BBQ Potluck at Kiwanis Park afterward. Prairie Monarch Bison is donating bison burgers, and Laramie BikeNet will provide buns, condiments and drinks. Please bring a side dish to share. Make sure to click here to RSVP so we can plan for food. FREE to Laramie BikeNet Members & their friends! |
