Groom History
December 24, 2020: All trails groomed except for Middle Aspen and lower Pole Creek. CHRISTMAS BONUS= Express and Upper Pole Creek Loop has been groomed twice and is good to go.
December 19, 2020: Frequent drifting due to High Winds (in case you haven’t noticed). No new snow.
Groomed Aspen-Haunted Forest-Headquarters-Snowshoe, Black Ice, Dilly Dally, Blackjack and upper Pole Creek. Nice mixed conditions of snow drifts and exposed rock to build your fatty handling skills.
December 15, 2020: First official groom of the season, well sort of. Happy Jack got another 2-3” since yesterday to bring the snow total to around 5” of very light fluff.
The Snowdog made a full outer loop (Snowshoe ‘SS’, Headquarters ’HQ’, Haunted Forest, Pole Creek), as well as the inner loop (SS, Black Ice, Dilly-Dally, BlackJack). Not enough snow yet to get the machine on Aspen or Middle Aspen.
So, Give it a day to settle or ride it now with low pressure and be prepared to slip n’ slide a bit. GRYFB!

Our goal in 2020-21 is to raise $5,000 in order keep these trails packed for us all to enjoy! Your donation supports the following: - SnowDog maintenance and fuel - Groomdoggies who "run" the SnowDog day and night to pack and maintain the trails - Partnership with Medicine Bow Nordic Association to assist with the USFS permit |
Map of Multi-Use Trails (MUT)
In the Beginning....
.....volunteers packed the trails by snowshoe after a snowfall. However, this was cumbersome and time consuming. Recently and with your help, Laramie BikeNet purchased a SnowDog machine to pack the multi-user trails at Happy Jack for Fat Biking, snowshoeing, running/hiking, and classic cross-country skiing. The SnowDog packs the trails quickly, while keeping the narrow, fun attributes of a single-track trail experience for all non-motorized trail users in the winter.
